Wizz Air Announces Direct Flights From Glasgow

WIZZ AIR ANNOUNCES DIRECT FLIGHTS FROM GLASGOW TO BUDAPEST AND POLISH CITY OF LUBLIN Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, has announced it is to introduce direct flights between Glasgow and the Hungarian capital of Budapest. It will also add flights to the Polish city of Lublin. It will be the first time Budapest has been served as a destination from Glasgow Airport and Wizz Air will operate a year round, twice weekly service starting on 13 June 2015. Car Park 5 Released At Glasgow Airport

The Park N Fly car park first opened as a park and ride site in 1995, it was built by Strathclyde Regional Council to the highest standards for commuting into Glasgow City Centre. The site was subsequently acquired by Airlink and used mainly for airport passengers. Being only 4-5 mins from Glasgow International Airport and easily accessible from the main Junction 29 exit it is extremely convenient and easy to find ensuring a speedy transfer to the terminal building. Glasgow Airport Reports Busiest February in Eight Years

13.9% increase in February passenger numbers Glasgow Airport has continued its positive start to 2015 after more than 510,000 passengers travelled through its doors in February, representing an increase of 13.9% on the same period last year. It was the airport’s busiest February in eight years and its 24th consecutive month of growth. International traffic grew by 24.9% which was largely a result of the continued demand for the range of Eastern European destinations served by Wizz Air and Ryanair. Sky-high airport parking charges cost more than flights…

The Times News Paper – 5th March 2015 Britain’s airports are the most expensive in the world for parking, with some holidaymakers paying more to leave their cars than actually fly. Seven of the world’s ten most expensive airport carparks are in the UK. The study, by the parking app JustPark, found that London’s City Airport had the highest charges at £315 a week followed by Heathrow at £167. The cost of standard long-term parking was less than the price of some flights from the two airports.
