Direct Airport Parking Investment Heading to Pole Position with GP2’s Oliver Rowland

Silverstone Circuit, home to Round 5 of the GP2 Series, also witnessed our “Push for Pole” – as Direct Airport Parking Investment’s new logo and branding were present throughout the race weekend as part of our sponsorship of championship contender Oliver Rowland.

Race Day 1 – Race

On Saturday, Oliver held off the rest of the field to secure a Podium finish in the Feature Race.

Race Day 2 – Sprint Race

In Sunday’s Sprint Race, Oliver doggedly fought his way to another well-deserved podium finish, again securing third position.

Championship Standings

After two podium finishes, Oliver ended a highly successful Silverstone weekend as Championship leader !

About Oliver Rowland

Oliver is a former McLaren Autosport BRDC Award winner and ended his second year in the World Series by Renault 3.5 Championship with Fortec Motorsport as Champion.

In parallel with his 2013 Eurocup campaign he has also raced in eight out of the 16 Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup rounds including the season finale at Zandvoort in which he won both races to clinch fourth place in the standings.

Over the course of the 2013 season he has lived in the Netherlands, working in between his racing commitments as a junior race engineer for the Westmaas-based Manor MP squad.

In 2014 Oliver competed in the World Series by Renault FR 3.5 Series finishing the season 4th and with continued backing from the RSF, he clinched the World Series by Renault FR 3.5 title in 2015 at the Le Mans Bugatti circuit.
